The State of Texas is at the epicenter of prep basketball.

Several athletes in this year’s NBA Draft crop hail from the Lone Star State including Duke’s Justise Winslow and Kentucky’s Aaron and Andrew Harrison of Houston, and Emmanuel Mudiay, Texas’ Myles Turner and LSU’s Jordan Mickey of Dallas.

So where did they get their start? Grassroots, showcase basketball.

PrimeTime Sports (PTS) hosts their EYB Classic May 1-3 in Dallas at three venues across the Metroplex including Denton Ryan High School, Denton High School and Swisher Courts.

Over 100 elite boys teams from across Texas and the United States will descend on Dallas for the four-day event for National bragging rights and to improve their recruiting profile. VYPE Magazine, Future 150 and PlayHoops Pre Report will be on-hand to evaluate the college talent as well. More than 80 games will be live-video streamed on the PrimeTime Sports Network.

While the teams and prospects headline the weekend, the officials will also be under the spotlight. The EYB Classic is being used as an evaluation event for future NBA referees, ensuring some of the best and most professional officiating in showcase tournament history.

“PrimeTime Sports has a perfect competitive storm brewing in Dallas this weekend with elite level competition and NBA-level officiating for the games,” PrimeTime Sports president David Stephens said. “In only its second year, the EYB Classic is becoming a go-to event for the elite teams, with great competition, live video-streaming of games, extensive media and scouting coverage, and much more.”

PrimeTime is a national youth sports event company, which hosts over 180 tournaments throughout the country. The PrimeTime Sports National Basketball Championship is the largest basketball tournament in the country, held in Dallas in July 22-26.

PrimeTime also hosts soccer tournaments and leagues along with 7on7 football events. The company has expanded their market presence over the recent years to reach the Atlanta and Great Lakes markets.
